Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

Ratio (“Ratio”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Ratio. By creating an account, posting content, or otherwise using Ratio at xbloomratio.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don't use Ratio.

2. Not affiliated with xBloom

Ratio is an unofficial, independent community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by xBloom.“xBloom” and any roaster, brand, or product names referenced on Ratio are trademarks of their respective owners. Recipes and commentary shared here reflect the opinions of individual community members, not xBloom or any roaster.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to create an account.

4. Your content and the license you grant us

You retain ownership of the recipes, comments, ratings, photos, and other content you post (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Ratio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting Ratio (for example, showing your recipe on the feed or in search results). You warrant that you own your User Content or otherwise have the rights necessary to post it, and that it doesn't infringe or violate any third party's rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ratio to:

  • Post spam, or content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or abusive;
  • Post content that infringes someone else's intellectual-property or other rights;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, including xBloom or any roaster;
  • Interfere with or disrupt Ratio's operation or security; or
  • Scrape or harvest data from Ratio except as permitted by applicable law.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

6. Intellectual property & notice-and-takedown

Ratio respects the intellectual-property rights of others, including xBloom and the roasters referenced by community members. If you believe content on Ratio infringes your trademark, copyright, or other rights — or if you are a rights holder (including xBloom) with a concern about how your brand is referenced — please contact us at [email protected] with (a) a description of the material and the right at issue, (b) the URL(s) on Ratio involved, and (c) your contact details. We will review and respond, and may remove or restrict access to the content pending review.

7. Disclaimers

Recipes, brew schedules, and any other content on Ratio are provided “as is” and “as available”, for informational and community purposes only. Brewing coffee involves heat, pressure, and equipment you operate at your own risk. Ratio makes no warranty — express or implied — as to the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any recipe or content, and is not responsible for the outcome of following any recipe, for compatibility with any xBloom device or firmware version, or for damage to your equipment.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ratio and Ratio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or equipment, arising from your use of Ratio, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

You may stop using Ratio and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue Ratio.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Ratio will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify users. Continuing to use Ratio after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Language

These Terms are drafted in English, which is the authoritative version. Any Arabic translation is provided as a courtesy for convenience; in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English and Arabic versions, the English version prevails.
